I'M NOT HOMELESS

Its offcial! I now have a place to live! Thank goodness! It becomes official tomorrow when I go in and sign the lease and then I get to move in on Saturday! How very exciting. So lets just say the packing has now been kicked up enough and its all sinking in that i'm actually moving from this hell hole of a place.

Make sure you keep your eyes posted for my moving vlogs which I hope will start tomorrow! I want to share the whole process with you guys and see what you all think of my interior design style and of course the new place.

Hope you are all safe (especially if you are in one of the fire affected areas of Australia at the moment) and are having a wonderful time.

Enjoy your day!

WEEK 1: RESOLUTION UPDATE

Hello all of you wonderful people. Today I wanted to catch you all up on how I have been going with my resolutions for 2013. Now I know it has only been a week but I find that this is the time when people start to let down on their resolutions.

So if you read/saw my video or Blog post on my Resolutions you will know I wanted to try and stick to three resolutions for the year, one Personal, one Beauty and one YouTube, and this is how I have gone so far.

1. Personal: So for my personal resolution I wanted to focus more on my studies and on my results for my last year at university, but Uni hasn't started back yet so as of yet this one cannot begin.

2. Beauty: For my Beauty resolution I wanted to get back in my old habit of drinking a tone of water because It will make me feel a whole lot better in general but will hopefully really help clear up and even out my skin because my skin sucks. Anyway so far so good, if you saw my Latest video, you will know I purchased a bottle from typo that actually says drink more water and this will be day 5 or drinking at least one full bottle of water a day which is a good start, and I already feel better.

YouTube: So for my final resolution I wanted to try and get at least 3 videos a week up for the whole year, this is a tad ambitious because I am a full time student but lets hope it works out for the best. As of yesterday I have actually uploaded 4 videos in the last 8 days so I am doing pretty well currently, the next few weeks will hopefully be the same. YAY

So I hope you liked this quick little catch up on how I'm going, let me know in the comments how you are going with your resolutions!

MOVING PART 2

Well well well, Here we are, today is yet another day of the house hunt/ moving preparations and I am exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far I have covered quite a few things but still have no where to live AHHHHHH!

As of tomorrow I will have inspected and applied for 4 separate properties, all of which I would be happy to move into, however, like always I have a favorite and I hope I get that one.

Anyway moving on from that, even though I am still homeless I have to start packing all of my junk because I HAVE to be out of this apartment by the end of the week which is terrifying. I started sorting and throwing out stuff two days ago and last night I started actually packing things, but it is so hard to pack your stuff when you are still using it, I mean I have to pack separate bags for me to use and pack everything else up, and as a self confessed neat/control freak (When it comes to my Apartment) I am in chaos.

I am taking my first opportunity in almost a week to have a little sit down and actually enjoy the day (well the Kardashians) and rest before the madness continues. Let me know if you have any tips on staying upbeat when your so drained because I really need a pick me up.

Have a swell day all!

MOVING PART 1

Hello all you wonderful people, hope you are all doing splendidly! So I have mentioned this before but I will be moving very very very soon. I'm not sure if many of you have moved but its a painful experience, don't get me wrong, its very exciting but until all the paperwork is sorted out you are basically homeless. In less then a week I have to be moved out of my current place, which means I need a new one, and well I have no where to go.

So although I have no where to go, I have started packing and it is incredible how much junk one person can gather in less then a year, on there own. I don't understand it. Now I get the wonderful job or sorting, wrapping, packing and cleaning EVERYTHING!

Here are some tips if you are planning on moving:

1. Be Organised- seriously, you need to plan everything down to a tee, because you don't want to be stuck with a huge mess, a heap of junk you don't want, and no time at all.

2. Ask for Help- sounds silly, but you will need a whole lot of help. There are infinite things to do, pack and move so don't be afraid to get a few friends in and make a day of it + It will make time fly by.

3.Layout Plan- Make sure you know where most (if not all) your stuff will be going in the new place. This is something I have learnt from my first move out experience. I didn't really think through where everything was going to go and I found I had not enough of some furniture and then some useless stuff. I have also found that things like Jewellery is so difficult to store its crazy, so really put some thought into storage solutions.

I hope you have found some of these tips helpful if you are planning on moving anytime soon. Keep your eyes out for the rest of my moving Blog Posts.

I WANT PRETTY THINGS

So it has come the time again when I must move. Although I find it a daunting task to find and secure a place as soon as all that drama goes away the excitement kicks in. Now I cannot just go and spend money willy nilly (mainly because I have none) I still LOVE to stare at the pretty objects that one day I may own. Recently I went on an ikea.com.au attack and found many a lovely thing.  Here are my picks:

Now that I live so far away from my family I love to surround myself with pictures of them and happy times. Antique style frames are my favorites. This beauty is something I have my eye on.

And last but not least I WANT A DESK. When I first moved out I didn't have the room for a Large desk, but hopefully This time I will have enough room for as big a desk as I want. YAY

I hope you have enjoyed this little in site into some of my Interior design favorites (on a budget) this is something I love and  cannot wait until I get to actually decorate a house. Have a lovely day.
